River Dragons Trade for Goaltender Nick Grabko

Grabko, 26, an Illinois Native brings a wealth of experience to the Dragons having played at the NAHL, USHL, NCAA Division I, ECHL, AHL, and European levels. Most recently playing in Mont Blanc, France Grabko posted a .908 save percentage (SV%), and a 2.96 Goals Against Average (GAA). “We are pleased to bring Nick in before camp starts. Nick is coming off a successful first full season of professional hockey in Europe and will help bolster our already strong depth between the pipes,” Goaltending Coach Brett Schaeffer said. 

The River Dragons are looking to ignite another run for the Commissioners cup this season, and adding pieces like Grabko to the intricate puzzle helps to put them in a good position ahead of the season that is 50 days away. “Grabko’s proven track record across multiple amateur and professional levels is a great addition to our locker room. You can’t teach experience, and adding him to what is now a wonderful goaltending trio, bodes very well for our team,” said Captain, Kirk Underwood.
