River Dragons Sign Jagger Williamson For 2021-22 Season

Columbus, GA - The Columbus River Dragons are excited to announce the return of Jagger Williamson to the team after signing him for the 2021-22 FPHL season.

Williamson appeared in the team's inaugural game back in October of 2019, but suffered a leg injury in the third period of the eventual 5-2 win and was out for the rest of that season. Williamson did not play anywhere during the 2020-21 season while remaining home in his native British Columbia and rehabbing from said injury.

"I'm so eager and excited to get back to hockey and be given another chance to play the game I love" Williamson said. "After being sidelined for two years with that leg injury, I'm blessed the River Dragons believe in me and I cannot wait to get down there and hear the Civic Center erupt!"

Now, Williamson is back and ready to take the ice again for the River Dragons in 2021-22!

Prior to turning pro, Williamson was a perennial figure with the Vernon Vipers in the BCHL. He spent five years with the Junior A team, captaining them for two seasons and appearing in 289 games, a Vernon Vipers record and 13th overall in BCHL history. That number also includes a joint team-record 233 regular season games during those season. He also played in games for the Vipers for as young as their U15 teams.

Williamson is the third player revealed for the 2021-22 FPHL season with many more still to come! The River Dragons start their campaign on November 5th in Port Huron taking on the Prowlers, the home schedule then starts up on November 12th when the Carolina Thunderbirds visit the Civic Center for a two-game, banner-raising set.
