RIVER DRAGONS RETAIN PROMISING BLUE-LINER NATHANIEL MOTT

COLUMBUS, GA – The Columbus River Dragons are pleased to announce the re-signing of defenseman Nathaniel Mott for the 2026-27 season.

Mott joined the River Dragons late in the 2025-26 campaign after completing his collegiate career and quickly made an impact on the blue line. In six regular-season games with Columbus, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman recorded one goal and two assists while showcasing the poise and two-way play that made him a standout at the collegiate level.

Prior to turning professional, Mott spent four seasons at Adrian College (ACHA), one of the premier programs in collegiate hockey. During his time with the Bulldogs, he appeared in 133 games, totaling 10 goals and 51 assists. Adrian reached the ACHA National Championship Game in each of Mott's four seasons, capturing the national title during the 2023-24 campaign.

A native of Mississauga, Ontario, the 24-year-old enters his first full professional season with Columbus eager to build on the experience gained at the end of last year and establish himself as a key contributor on the River Dragons' back end.
