RIVER DRAGONS ANNOUNCE RETURN OF PLAYER RIGHTS TO MOTOR CITY ROCKERS

COLUMBUS, GA – The Columbus River Dragons announced today that the playing rights to defensemen Mike Winn and Josh Colten have been returned to the Motor City Rockers in accordance with Federal Prospects Hockey League player rights regulations.
Winn and Colten quickly became fan favorites during their time in Columbus, making significant contributions both on the ice and within the River Dragons community. Their work ethic, leadership, and commitment to the organization helped play a key role in the team's success and left a lasting impact on teammates, staff, and fans alike.
The move stems from player rights procedures established by the FPHL and returns both players to the organization that held their rights prior to the Motor City Rockers suspending operations at the conclusion of the 2024-2025 campaign.
This transaction serves to qualify as 2 of the 4 possible players Columbus can lose in expansion drafts this offseason.
"The impact both players had on our locker room and fan base cannot be overstated," said Jeff Croop, Ignite Sports and Entertainment COO, Governor, and General manager. "We appreciate everything they brought to our organization and are proud that they were part of the River Dragons family."
The Columbus River Dragons organization would like to thank Mike and Josh for their contributions to Columbus both on and off the ice.
